Visitors: Your Chapter’s Growth Engine

Week 42 · July 13–19, 2026

🎤 Education Moment Script (3–5 minutes)

Good morning, Our BNI Family! 🙌

Growth doesn’t happen by accident in BNI. It happens when Members actively invite the right people and create a room that makes Visitors want to apply. If our Chapter is going to finish the year stronger than it started, inviting has to be part of how we operate every week.

🔹 Who Should You Invite?

The easiest invitation is to someone you already trust. Think about:

  • A referral partner you don’t yet have in the Chapter.
  • A professional in a category the Chapter currently lacks.
  • A business owner you’ve had a great 1-to-1 with outside BNI.
  • Someone who asked you recently: ‘How do you get so many referrals?’

You don’t need to hard-sell BNI. You just need to invite them to experience it. The Chapter sells itself when someone great is in the room.

🔹 How to Invite Well

A strong invitation focuses on value, not pressure.

Try: “I think you’d get a lot out of coming to see how our group works. No commitment — just come as my guest. I think you’d connect with some really good people.”

Lead with curiosity and connection. Describe a specific person in the Chapter they’d likely want to meet. Make the invitation feel like an opportunity, not an obligation.

🔹 How to Welcome Visitors When They Arrive

Inviting is only half the job. How we treat Visitors when they walk in determines whether they come back.

Every Member in the room is responsible for creating a warm experience:

  • Introduce yourself early (during Open Networking), not just at the structured networking segment.
  • Ask a genuine question about their business.
  • Point them toward someone they’d likely connect with.
  • Follow up after the meeting with a personal note.

Visitors who feel welcomed, seen, and connected are the ones who apply. Make sure Our BNI Family gives every Visitor that experience.

🔹 A Quick Reminder / Why This Matters

Chapters that grow don’t wait for the chapter leadership to handle inviting. Every Member is a recruiter, not because they’re required to be, but because they genuinely believe in what this room does.

This week, identify one person to invite. Then send the message today, not after the meeting, not next week. Today.

Our BNI Family grows one great invitation at a time.

Let’s keep growing, one great invitation at a time!
