Week 24 · March 9 – March 13, 2026
🎤 Education Moment Script (3–5 minutes)
Good morning, BNI Family! 🙌
This week’s Education Moment is all about converting today’s visitors into tomorrow’s referral partners — and doing it the BNI way:
with relationship, not sales pressure.
Visitors don’t join BNI just because someone tells them to.
They apply because they feel welcomed, see value, and understand how BNI can make their business stronger.
So the question isn’t:
“How do we sell them on joining?”
The question is:
“How do we help them experience the value of referral relationships today?”
Here’s what that looks like in practice:
1️⃣ Greet them like guests — not prospects
From the moment they arrive:
✔ make eye contact
✔ ask about their business
✔ learn what kind of referrals they want
You’re not selling — you’re listening.
And when you listen, you gain trust.
2️⃣ Help them connect immediately
Introduce visitors to 2–3 Members right away who align with their goals.
Why? Because connection without delay builds relevance.
When a visitor meets someone useful, they feel value in the room.
3️⃣ Focus on their goals — not your agenda
Ask respectful questions like:
🔹 “Who is your ideal referral partner?”
🔹 “What success looks like for you?”
🔹 “Who have you been hoping to meet but haven’t yet?”
When they share goals — you can link those to real Members today.
You’re not selling membership.
You’re showing value through connection first.
4️⃣ Follow up personally — not generically
After the meeting, send a note like:
“It was great meeting you. I’d love to introduce you to [Member] who can help you with [specific need].”
Personal follow-up strengthens the connection visitors just got excited about.
💡 Pro Tip:
Every visitor — whether they apply or not — brings value to the Chapter. The average visitor is worth about $1,800 in TYFCB in the future.
If you help them connect this week,
you’re helping our network grow beyond today’s meeting.
That’s how referral partners are born. 💙
