This week we’re focusing on Recognition: Celebrating Success in Our BNI Family — because what gets recognized gets repeated.

Why this matters:
Recognition isn’t just about applause or certificates — it’s about reinforcing the behaviors that lead to success. When we celebrate Members who invite, give referrals, bring visitors, or go the extra mile, we inspire others to do the same.

Recognition creates three powerful results:

  • It reinforces core values. When we recognize Givers Gain®, accountability, and positive attitude, we remind everyone what BNI stands for.
  • It boosts motivation. People thrive when their efforts are seen and appreciated. Recognition keeps engagement and morale high.
  • It strengthens connection. Taking time to celebrate others deepens relationships and builds a stronger Chapter culture.

How to build a culture of recognition:

  • Acknowledge weekly wins. Celebrate specific results like “Thank you to [Member Name] for bringing a visitor,” or “Kudos to [Member Name] for hitting green on their Traffic Lights.”
  • Use stories, not stats. Instead of just numbers, share the impact: “Because of that referral, a $10,000 deal closed!”
  • Recognize in the moment. Don’t wait for perfection — celebrate effort and improvement too.
  • Celebrate teamwork. Recognize PowerTeams, Member collaborations, or shared wins that show Our BNI Family working together.

Pro tip: Recognition doesn’t cost anything — but it pays back in loyalty, energy, and results. Every compliment, shoutout, or thank-you fuels our culture of positivity and growth.
