Feature Presentation Power: How to Educate and Inspire

🎤 Education Moment Script (3–5 minutes)

Good morning, BNI Family! 🙌
This week we’re talking about Feature Presentations — your 8-minute opportunity to truly educate and inspire your Chapter.

Why this matters:
Your Featured Presentation is your spotlight moment to teach your referral partners how to find referrals for you. It’s not a sales pitch; it’s a training session on how others can open doors for your business.

Key reminders for a powerful presentation:

  • Prepare with intention. Treat this like a keynote. Outline your main message, supporting examples, and your referral ask. Practice until it fits perfectly into 8 minutes.
  • Start with a hook. Begin with a short story, question, or powerful statement that gets attention.
  • Teach, don’t sell. Share your “why,” your process, and your client success stories so Members know what problems you solve.
  • Close with clarity. End with your specific referral request and remind Members how to identify that person or situation, as well as how to connect the two of you together.

Pro tip: After your presentation, schedule a few 1-to-1s with Members who expressed interest or came up after the meeting and had questions. This turns education into action — and action into referrals.

Remember: An excellent Featured Presentation educates, inspires, and energizes your Chapter — helping everyone give better referrals for you.
