This week we’re focusing on Attendance = Opportunity, Not Obligation.
Some see attendance as a rule—but in BNI, it’s more than that. Attendance is showing up for opportunity. Every meeting you attend is a chance to:
- Build visibility for your business
- Deepen trust with fellow Members
- Be present when someone issues a referral ask that fits you
- Strengthen your credibility so people think of you first
When you’re absent, you don’t just lose your seat — you lose connection, momentum, and possibility.
Key reminders about attendance:
- Regular presence = regular referrals. Being present consistently keeps you top of mind.
- Subs help, but presence wins. A substitute can cover your seat, but they can’t replace your relationships or your voice.
- Let attendance reflect reliability. When you are known for showing up, others know they can count on you—for referrals, partnership, and accountability.
- Mind the ripple effect. Your absence sends messages — but your presence sends credibility.
Let’s shift mindset: You’re not just showing up to avoid something — you’re choosing to be where the opportunities are.
