Week 42 (July 14 – July 20, 2025)
Introduction
“Good morning, everyone! Today, we’re going to focus on time management, specifically how managing your time effectively can improve your networking success. In both business and networking, how we use our time determines the results we achieve. Let’s talk about strategies to make the most of our time so that we can be more productive and build stronger connections.”
Body
“Here are three time management strategies that can enhance your networking efforts:
1. Prioritize your One-to-Ones – One-to-Ones are one of the most valuable tools in BNI, but they can only be effective if you prioritize them. Make time each week to schedule One-to-Ones with fellow Members, focusing on those who can help you achieve your business goals.
2. Set aside time for follow-up – Follow-up is key to building lasting relationships, and it needs to be part of your regular routine. Schedule time after each meeting or networking event to follow up with contacts. This ensures that you’re staying top of mind and nurturing the connections you make.
3. Create a networking calendar – Plan your networking activities in advance by creating a calendar. Include Chapter meetings, One-to-Ones, follow-up times, and external networking events. This structured approach ensures you’re consistently engaging with others and making the most of your opportunities.”
Example
“Let’s say you’ve recently attended a networking event and met several new contacts. Instead of waiting to follow up, schedule 30 minutes the next day to send personalized follow-up messages. By making follow-up a priority, you’re more likely to turn those contacts into meaningful relationships.”
Conclusion
“Time management is critical for networking success. By prioritizing One-to-Ones, setting aside time for follow-up, and creating a networking calendar, we can make sure we’re maximizing our efforts and building strong, productive relationships. Let’s all focus on managing our time more effectively to grow our networks and achieve our business goals.”
