Networking with Intention: Quality Over Quantity

Week 41 (July 7 – July 13, 2025)

Introduction

“Good morning, everyone! Today, we’re going to focus on a key principle of successful networking: quality over quantity. It’s not about how many people you meet, but about building meaningful relationships with the right people. Networking with intention means focusing on creating deeper connections that lead to trust and long-term success.”

Body

“Here are three strategies to ensure your networking efforts are intentional and focused on quality:

1. Prioritize meaningful connections – Instead of trying to meet as many people as possible, focus on building strong relationships with a few key individuals who align with your goals or who you can help in a significant way.

2. Follow up with purpose – After meeting someone, follow up in a way that adds value to the relationship. Whether it’s sharing a resource, introducing them to a connection, or setting up a One-to-One, make sure your follow-up shows you’re invested in building the relationship.

3. Be authentic – People connect more deeply when interactions are genuine. Focus on being yourself and showing genuine interest in others. Authentic connections lead to trust, which is the foundation for referrals.”

Example

“Let’s say you meet someone at a networking event who could benefit from your services. Instead of handing them your business card and moving on, spend time getting to know their business and understanding their needs. Afterward, follow up with a resource or introduction that will help them. This type of intentional networking builds trust and opens the door for future referrals.”

Conclusion

“Networking with intention is about quality, not quantity. By focusing on building meaningful relationships, following up with purpose, and being authentic, we can create stronger connections that lead to long-term success. Let’s all commit to being more intentional in our networking to grow our Chapter and our businesses.”
