Week 25 (March 17 – March 23, 2025)
Introduction
“Good morning, everyone! Today, we’re going to focus on the role of our Visitor Hosts and how they play a key part in growing our Chapter. Visitors are our lifeblood, and it’s essential that we make them feel welcome and valued from the moment they step into our Chapter. A well-prepared Visitor Host is critical to ensuring that visitors feel comfortable and excited about joining our BNI Family.”
Body
“Here’s how Visitor Hosts can make the best impression and help turn visitors into long-term Members:
1. Create a warm welcome – First impressions matter. Greet visitors with a smile, introduce them to key Members of the Chapter, and make them feel at home. The more welcomed they feel, the more likely they are to return and consider joining.
2. Explain the BNI process – Many visitors might not be familiar with BNI, so take a moment to explain how the meeting will run and how BNI can help grow their business. Highlight the value of referrals and the Givers Gain® philosophy so they understand the benefits right away.
3. Follow up after the meeting – After the meeting, reach out to the visitor to thank them for attending and ask if they have any questions. A timely follow-up shows that we care about their experience and are serious about helping them become part of our Chapter.”
Example
“Imagine a first-time visitor coming to our Chapter. The Visitor Host greets them, introduces them to a few Members, and takes the time to explain how the meeting works. Afterward, the Visitor Host follows up with a quick email thanking them for attending. This simple process can make a huge difference in whether that visitor decides to return and eventually become a Member.”
Conclusion
“The Visitor Host role is vital to our Chapter’s growth and success, and we are all Visitor Hosts. By welcoming visitors warmly, explaining the BNI process clearly, and following up after the meeting, we help convert visitors into long-term Members. Let’s make sure we’re giving visitors the best possible experience every time they walk through our doors.”
