Week 44 (July 28 – August 3, 2025)
Introduction
“Good morning, everyone! Today, we’re going to talk about keeping our networking fresh and engaging. Networking can sometimes feel repetitive if we don’t actively look for ways to shake things up. By introducing fresh approaches, we can keep our interactions exciting and ensure that we’re always building new connections and generating referrals.”
Body
“Here are three strategies to keep your networking approach fresh:
1. Change your routine – Instead of sticking to the same approach at every meeting, try something new. For instance, ask different questions during your One-to-Ones, such as, ‘What’s something exciting happening in your business right now?’ or ‘What’s a challenge you’re facing this quarter?’ Fresh questions lead to more meaningful conversations.
2. Attend new events – Step outside your usual circle and attend new networking events or industry meetups. Meeting new people in different settings can open up fresh opportunities for referrals and partnerships.
3. Revisit your elevator pitch – Your business evolves, and so should your elevator pitch. Update your pitch to reflect new services, milestones, or success stories, and present it with renewed energy. Keeping your pitch fresh ensures that you capture the attention of both Members and visitors.”
Example
“Imagine you’ve been attending the same networking events for a while, and it feels routine. By branching out and attending a Chamber of Commerce event or a niche industry meetup, you can meet new contacts, gain fresh insights, and potentially uncover untapped referral opportunities.”
Conclusion
“Keeping your networking fresh is essential to maintaining energy and enthusiasm in your interactions. By changing your routine, attending new events, and refreshing your elevator pitch, you’ll keep things exciting and continue to build valuable relationships. Let’s all challenge ourselves to keep our networking vibrant and effective!”
