Effective Visitor Engagement

Week 39 (June 23 – June 29, 2025)

Introduction

“Good morning, everyone! Today, we’re going to talk about how to effectively engage visitors during their first visit to our Chapter. First impressions matter, and when we make visitors feel welcome and valued, they’re more likely to come back and even join our BNI Family. Let’s focus on how we can create a positive experience for every visitor.”

Body

“Here are three strategies for engaging visitors effectively:

1. Make a strong introduction – When visitors arrive, ensure that they are greeted warmly and introduced to key Members of the Chapter. Help them feel at ease by explaining how the meeting works and what they can expect.

2. Show them the value of BNI – During the meeting, highlight how BNI has helped your business grow through referrals and relationships. Share a brief success story to illustrate how powerful networking can be for their business as well.

3. Follow up after the meeting – After the meeting, take the time to follow up with visitors. Send a quick message thanking them for attending and offer to answer any questions they may have about our Chapter. A thoughtful follow-up shows that we care about their experience and can lead to long-term relationships.”

Example

“Let’s say a visitor attends our Chapter for the first time. After a warm introduction, you share how BNI has helped you grow your client base. After the meeting, you follow up with a quick email, thanking them for attending and offering to schedule a One-to-One. This level of engagement can make a huge difference in converting visitors into Members.”

Conclusion

“Engaging visitors is one of the most important steps we can take to grow our Chapter. By making a strong introduction, showing them the value of BNI, and following up after the meeting, we can ensure that visitors have a positive experience and are more likely to return. Let’s all commit to making every visitor feel welcome and valued!”
