Delegating for Chapter Growth

Week 37 (June 9 – June 15, 2025)

Introduction

“Good morning, everyone! Today, we’re going to talk about a key skill in leadership and business—delegation. Effective delegation helps not only in your business but also within our Chapter. By empowering others to take on responsibilities, we can improve the efficiency and success of our Chapter while also developing future leaders.”

Body

“Here are three ways effective delegation contributes to Chapter growth:

1. Share responsibilities – As leaders, it’s essential to recognize when to delegate tasks to other Members. Sharing responsibilities allows everyone to contribute to the Chapter’s success and helps prevent burnout among leadership.

2. Empower others – Delegation isn’t just about offloading tasks. It’s about empowering others to take ownership of important roles. This fosters a sense of responsibility and encourages growth within the Chapter as Members step up and lead.

3. Develop future leaders – By delegating roles and responsibilities, we help identify and develop future leaders within our Chapter. Members who take on delegated tasks build confidence and gain experience, preparing them for future leadership positions.”

Example

“For example, a Leadership Team could delegate the responsibility of organizing visitor days to a Member who shows enthusiasm for recruitment. By giving them ownership of the task, they can focus on inviting visitors and organizing the event, while developing leadership skills in the process.”

Conclusion

“Delegation is a powerful tool for fostering growth within our Chapter. By sharing responsibilities, empowering others, and developing future leaders, we create a stronger, more effective Chapter. Let’s all work together to delegate strategically and help our Chapter grow!”
