Delegating for Chapter Growth

Week 37 (Jun 9-15, 2025)

Introduction

“Good morning, BNI Family! Today, we’re diving into the art of delegation—a key skill not only for leaders but for growing a healthy Chapter.”

Body

“When you try to do everything yourself, it limits your Chapter’s growth potential. Effective delegation allows you to focus on strategic areas while empowering others to step up. Here’s how to delegate successfully:

1. Identify Strengths – Everyone has unique strengths. Delegating tasks based on those strengths ensures that the right people are handling the right responsibilities.

2. Provide Clear Instructions – Delegation doesn’t mean abandoning the task. Be specific about what needs to be done and provide any necessary resources.

3. Trust and Let Go – Once you delegate, trust your team to get the job done. Micromanaging defeats the purpose and can demotivate Members.”

Interactive Element

“Think of one task you’ve been holding onto that you could delegate. Write it down, along with the name of a Member you believe would be a good fit for the task. Take a minute to reflect, then share your idea with a partner.”

Conclusion

“By delegating effectively, we not only lighten our own load but help other Members develop leadership skills. Let’s start delegating more effectively to create space for growth.”
